Description
Cast iron, not steel bar, is what separates this grate from the others in the Pleasant Hearth lineup. It is coated in high-temperature black paint and lifts the logs off the firebox floor so air can reach them from below.
You can choose 18, 24, 27 or 30 inches across. Depth changes with width, from 12 inches on the 18 to 15 on the 24 and 30, so measure your firebox front to back as well as side to side. Take the width at the back wall, where side walls often angle in, and pick a grate narrower than that line.
