Lower openings, the same widths as Medium
Small is the size for the lower masonry opening. It covers the same widths as Medium, 30 to 37 inches, but starts lower, at 22.5 inches of height, and most collections top out at 29.5. Carlisle and Clairmont stop their Small at 27.5 inches, so an opening between 27.5 and 29.5 inches high takes Medium in those two collections.
Nearly every collection comes in Small: bi-fold Ascot, Clairmont, Gavin, Collin, Ellis and Aerin, cabinet Alpine, Fenwick, Carlisle, Easton, Alsip and Amhearst, and Arrington. Most Small frames are 37.5 inches wide (Gavin's bay frame runs 38.75), and the finishes go from black and gunmetal to burnished bronze, heritage brass and skyline nickel.
