Description

Arts and crafts lines and a vintage iron finish mark our Preston collection, and this is its tool set. A shovel, tongs, a poker and a tampico brush hang on a steel stand, five pieces in all.

The stand rises 30 inches on a base 10 by 6.5 inches, a small footprint for the floor beside your fireplace. Our Preston indoor log holder wears the same vintage iron. If you want the pieces around your hearth to match, the holder and these tools read as one family.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Burn Wise: Best Wood-Burning Practices. Burn only dry, split wood seasoned for at least six months and stored outdoors off the ground with only the top covered, and test it with a moisture meter, since wood burns best below 20 percent moisture. Never start a fire with gasoline, kerosene or charcoal starter, and never burn trash, cardboard, plastics, or coated, painted or pressure-treated wood, plywood or particle board.
