Privacy policy

This policy covers pleasant-hearth.net, the catalog of Pleasant Hearth fireplace doors, screens, tools, grates, gas logs, stoves and fire pits. Every page opens without an account, a sign-up form or a mailing list, because the site has none of them.

What we count

We keep running totals of which pages are opened and which shopping buttons are pressed. Those totals tell us, for instance, which door sizes and which screen styles people look at most. They carry no names, and we neither sell nor share them.

An email to hearthside@pleasant-hearth.net stays with us while your question is open. Your address is used to answer you and for nothing else.

After a shopping button

A shopping button opens our retail partner in a new tab, with a code in the link that shows the visit started here. From that tab on, the partner's own privacy policy applies to your account, your payment and your delivery address.

Paying, arranging delivery and starting a return all happen at checkout with that partner, so none of those details ever pass through pleasant-hearth.net.

Cookies

The software that serves these pages sets a few cookies of its own, such as a session marker that keeps a page working and a note of the region you browse from. None of them is used for advertising. Cookies set on the partner's site fall under the partner's policy.

Children

The catalog is written for adults furnishing a home, and we do not knowingly collect anything from children under 13.

Changes and questions
