Description
Palmetto lifts the firewood off the floor of its 30-inch bowl on a grate, so air reaches the fire from below, and drainage holes let rain run out the bottom. A mesh spark guard and an ash catcher come with it. You raise the guard with the included poker, and the cooking grid turns the pit into a grill.
At 21.2 pounds it is the lightest fire pit in our range, so move it only when it is cold. Its spot should be level and unable to burn, such as brick, concrete or patio blocks, 10 feet from anything combustible. Cooled ashes go into a metal container with a tight-fitting lid.
