Pleasant Hearth Coal hod

Description

The coal hod keeps the old shape of a tall pail with a slanted open mouth, built in steel with a reinforced base, a high carry handle and a black powder coat. Fill it with coal, kindling, stove pellets or ashes that have fully cooled.

That slanted mouth lets you tip fuel out without reaching in. There is no lid, though, so treat the hod as a carrier for fuel. For ashes you keep, EPA's advice is a covered metal container stored outdoors, which is the job our ash bucket with lid was made for.
